Rolled up holiday pay

Rolled up holiday pay (sometimes hyphenated as “rolled-up holiday pay”) is the term used to describe when an employer includes employees’ holiday pay in their basic hourly wages instead of giving them paid time off.

Although this practice is often still quite common, and there is reason to believe that the law will soon be changed to allow it when certain conditions are met, under UK law rolled-up holiday pay is illegal in the majority of cases.
