Overtime pay

Laws surrounding overtime pay vary from country to country. In the UK, employers aren’t required by law to pay their staff for working overtime, and whether they do or not will be determined by their individual employment contracts.

Keeping track of the hours staff work, as opposed to what’s on the work rota, can be a difficult and time-consuming task. To make this process easier, many employers use time & attendance software, which tracks and records the hours and minutes an employee works, based on their clock-in, clock-out, and break times.
